Early Marsh-orchid Dactylorhiza incarnata subsp. pulchella Magairlín mór Family: Orchidaceae Early Marsh-orchid: Flowering May-July. Tuberous perennial. Native Subsp. pulchella has purplish-pink flowers and the leaves are erect and unspotted. It is found in dune slacks, machair, fens and on lake shores and is the most frequent sub-species in Ireland.
