Subsp. incarnata has flesh-pink flowers and the leaves are erect and unspotted. Scattered distribuion in Ireland in calcareous and base-rich fens, marshes, reed swamps and wet meadows. Similar: Dactylorhiza incarnata subsp. coccinea and D. incarnata subsp. pulchella
