Common Ragwort (coastal subspecies) Jacobaea vulgaris subsp. dunensis Family: Asteraceae Previously Senecio jacobaea subsp. dunensis Flowering June-October. Biennial. Native. A coastal subspecies of Common Ragwort. Ray-florets are absent and the plants are dwarf and often densely pubescent. Identified by Paul Green Scattered distribution round the Irish coast, but can be locally abundant in some coastal areas.
