Flowering time: July - September. Perennial. Native.

Spikes of golden-yellow flowers. Basal leaves short-stalked. Stem leaves unstalked, linear-lanceolate. Leafy stems. A very variable plant, that can be more or less hairy or hairless. Height: 10-70 cm

Dry woods, banks, grassland and dunes. Common except in central Ireland

The Goldenrod grown in gardens is Canadian Goldenrod, Solidago canadensis, a taller plant introduced from North America.
