Wild Cabbage Brassica oleracea var. oleracea Cabáiste fiáin Family: Brassicaceae Flowering time: May-August. Perennial. Introduced. Pale yellow flowers with erect sepals, the buds over-topping the flowers. The leaves are a waxy grey-green, the lower pinnate-lobed, the upper clasping the stem. Stout woody stems with leaf scars on base. Coastal wasteground, calcareous sea cliffs. Very rare, the only Irish records are from the SE and NE of Ireland. Similar:Wild Turnip, B. rapa.
