Native.
Lax, open seedheads, large fruit (more than 2.5 mm) Usually over 1m tall.
Estuarine mud, locally common, tidal rivers in Waterford, Wexford, Limerick.
Identified by Paul Green

Similar: Rumex crispus ssp. crispus. Abundant on waste and cultivated ground.
Rumex crispus ssp. littoreus. Coastal shingle, dunes.
