Fine-leaved Water-dropwort Oenanthe aquatica Dathabha uisce Family: Apiaceae Flowering June - September. Perennial. Native. White flowers with petals +/- equal in length. The flowers are in small, short-stalked umbels, both terminal and in the leaf-axils. Bristle-like bracteoles are present but bracts are usually absent. Leaves are thrice-pinnate, the submerged leaflets are narrow and linear. Bushy growth, 30-100cm tall. All parts are poisonous Can be locally frequent in some parts of Ireland in shallow still or slow moving water by rivers and canals, at the edges of lakes and in ditches |
