Smooth Hawksbeard Crepis capillaris Lus cúran min Family: Asteraceae Flowering time: June-September. Annual - biennial. Native. Small yellow flowers with erect buds, the petals often more / less reddish underneath. Hairless glossy leaves, the basal leaves are pinnate with narrow toothed lobes, the upper leaves stalkless, smaller and clasping the stem. Height: 20-90 cm Very common throughout Ireland but prefers poor, dry acidic soils. Similar: Beaked Hawksbeard, Crepis vesicaria. |
