Flowering May to July. Winter annual. Native.

Unstalked white to pale pinkish flowers with a bell-shaped calyx tubes and outward-curving sepal-teeth. Leaves with obvate leaflets, downy on both sides and the veins ccurving backwards. Procumbent or erect growth

Rare near south, east and south-east Irish coasts on thin infertile sandy or gravelly ground and on parched coastal grassland.
