American Blue-eyed Grass Sisyrinchium montanum Family: Iridaceae Flowering June-September. Perennial. Garden escape. Blue flowers with 6 petals and yellow centres that self-seed freely. The grass-like leaves are finely pointed and evergreen in mild winters. Height 10-15cm. Self-sown seedlings are hardier than the parent plants and more drought-tolerant.
