Woody Nightshade / Bittersweet Solanum dulcamara var. marinum Fuath gorm Family: Solanaceae Flowering June-September. Perennial. Native. This is the coastal form of Woody Nightshade / Bittersweet, Solanum dulcamara. The clusters of purple flowers are followed by poisonous red berries. Leaves are similar to those of Woody Nightshade but are often simple, entire and more or less succulent. Occasionally found on shingle beaches but probably under-recorded |
