Two-spined Pirri-pirri-bur / Two-spined Acaena Acaena ovalifolia Spíochnó Family: Rosaceae Flowering: Early summer. Evergreen perennial. Introduced. Round heads of petal-less flowers followed by burrs with 2 barbed spines. Bright-green leaves with (usually) 9 leaflets, narrow oblong-oval. Stems woody at base, hairy.
