Native.
A naturally occuring hybrid between Primrose and Cowslip.

Intermediate between parents in flowers, leaves and pubescence, the flowers normally in umbels on leafless flower stalks (scape). Only partially fertile. Can be confused with garden Polyanthus.

Occurs sporadically where both parent species growing in close proximity in woods, scrub, grassland and hedgerows. Most records are from central and south-east Ireland. Identification confirmed by Paul Green BSBI
