Equal-leaved Knotgrass Polygonum arenastrum Glúineach ghainimh Family: Polygonaceae Flowering time: July-September. Annual. Native. The small pinkish-white flowers in the leaf axils are solitary or in small clusters. Leaves are of more/less equal length, elliptical to lanceolate. Silver ochrea. The creeping, mat-forming growth tolerates trampling. Widespread throughout most of Ireland on bare open soil on waste ground, paths, arable land and roadsides.
