Garden Parsley Petroselinum crispum Peirsil gharraí Family: Apiaceae Flowering: June-August. Biennial. Introduced. Flat-topped umbels of yellowish flowers are followed by egg-shaped, ridged fruit. Parsley-scented bright-green leaves are 3-pinnate, the leaflets toothed and often with crisped edges. Solid stems with shallow ridges. Height 30-70cm. An occasional garden escape or relic of cultivation found on waste ground, walls and among rocks. |
