Arctic Eyebright Euphrasia arctica Glanrosc Family: Scrophulariaceae Flowering: June-August. Semi-parasitic annual. Native. The lower lip is white/lilac, the upper lip lilac/purple and the seed capsule is equal in length to the calyx. Upper plant is erect, glandular-hairy and with 0-5 pairs of branches. Leaves are usually pale-green and blunt-toothed. Very variable with frequent hybridisation and distinctive variants. Widespread in Ireland on grassland, meadows and roadsides.
