Russian-vine Fallopia baldschuanica Family: Polygonaceae Flowering: July-October. Deciduous climber. Introduced. Many lax panicles of small white flowers that become pinkish when fruiting. Heart-shaped leaves on reddish-green twining stems. A very vigorous climbing and scrambling plant that grows rapidly. Height and spread to over 5m. An infrequent garden escape or relic of cultivation that is occasionally naturalised on wasteground and fences. Usually found near habitation. |
