Bifid Hemp-nettle Galeopsis bifida Ga búi Family: Lamiaceae Flowering time: July-October. Annual. Probably introduced. Small 2-lipped pink-purple, mauve or white flowers with dark markings on the notched lower lip. The toothed, stalked and hairy leaves are oval-lanceolate. A much-branched hairy plant, the stems swollen at the nodes. Found on disturbed arable, waste and cultivated ground. Similar: Common Hemp-nettle, Galeopsis tetrahit has larger flowers and an un-lobed lower lip. |
