Pale Persicaria Persicaria lapathifolia Glúineach bhán Family: Polygonaceae Flowering: June-October. Annual. Probably introduced. Dense spikes of greenish-white flowers which are sometimes tinged pink. The flower stalks (and sometimes the calyx) have raised, yellowish glands. Leaves are lanceolate, to 15cm long. A very variable plant. Height to 80cm. Widespread in Ireland on damp waste ground and arable land. Similar: Can be confused with the white form of Redshank, P. maculosa |
