Round-leaved Sundew Drosera rotundifolia Drúchtín móna Family: Droseraceae Flowering time: June-August. Perennial. Native. The small white flowers are 6-petalled and grow on hairless stalks. Basal rosettes of round leaves on horizontal hairy stalks, the leaves covered with sticky hairs that trap and digest insects. Height: 10-15 cm. Can be locally abundant on wet acid heaths and sphagnum bogs but is increasingly threatened by habitat destruction. Hybrids occur with Oblong-leaved Sundew, Drosera intermedia |
