Flowering June-August. Annual. Native.

Small pinkish flowers in 2-3 rayed umbels, almost stalkless. Long narrow bracteoles, no bracts. Ovoid fruit, outer prickly. Leaves 1-2 pinnate. Hairy. Solid weak stems, often prostrate. Height 15-40cm.

Dry, open habitats. Sea-walls, waste ground, dry grassland. Occasional in Ireland, mainly near S, SE coasts. Identified by Paul Green
