Flowering time: July-October. Annual. Probably introduced.

Small 2-lipped pink-purple, mauve or white flowers, dark markings on lower lip.
Notched middle lobe. Toothed, stalked, hairy leaves, oval-lanceolate.
Much-branched hairy plant, stems swollen at nodes. Height: 15-70 cm.

Disturbed arable, waste and cultivated ground.

Similar: Common Hemp-nettle, G. tetrahit.
Larger flowers, un-lobed lower lip.
