Flowering June - July. Usually evergreen. Introduced.

Very similar to Wild Privet, Ligustrum vulgare
Leaves broader and usually evergreen. Young shoots are hairless. Usually grows as large shrub, 1-3m.

Often planted as hedging and found as garden discard on waste ground, rubbish tips, roadsides. Also relic of cultivation or occasionally bird-sown. Appears to be increasing in the wild but is unevenly recorded.
