Soft Brome / Lesser Soft Brome Bromus hordeaceus subsp. thominei Family: Poaceae First Irish record for this subspecies. Identification confirmed by Dr. Tom Cope, Kew Gardens. Winter annual. Small procumbent or ascending plant with slender stems to 10cm. Compact inflorescence to 3cm with few spikelets. Lemmas glabrous or pubescent. Subequal glumes.
