Wavy Hair-grass Wavy-branched, spreading flower-heads with shiny silver-purplish 2-flowered spikelets. Narrow leaves with inrolled margins, mainly basal. Ligule wider than leaf, rounded tip. Clump or carpet-forming, tufted stems 30-60cm. Hairless. Locally frequent on heaths, dry moors. Rare in lowland areas. Identified by Paul Green |
