Flowering April-June. Perennial. Garden escape.

Garden cultivar of Bugle, Ajuga repens
Deepish-blue flowers on erect flowering stems. Bracts tinged coppery-purplish.
Mid to dark green leaves flushed copper or deep-purplish. Creeping stolons.

Prefers moist, slightly shaded ground. Very occasional garden escape, discard or relic of cultivation.
