Summer flowering. Evergreen or semi-evergreen shrub. Garden escape. Introduced.

Erect cymes of pink-tinged white flowers followed by spherical red-orange fruit. Glossy dark-green leaves, white-woolly beneath. Erect, arching branches. Vigorous growth, height and spread to 3m.

Grown in gardens as hedging shrub. Rarely recorded as garden escape, most records from Co.Waterford.
