Flowering time: June - October. Perennial. Native.

Flowers are greenish white followed by reddish-brown seedheads. The large basal leaves are broad at the base with slightly undulating edges. Seed can remain viable in the ground for 70 years. Height: 50-100 cm

Very common on waste ground, road edges, fields and gardens

Similar: Water Dock, R. hydrolapathum. Larger (to 200cm) with pointed, oval-lanceolate leaves. Shallow water, riversides, fens, ditches
