Flowering time: July-September. Perennial. Native.

Small pink flowers with notched petals and 4-lobed stigma on long stalks. Stalkless grey-green oblong-lanceolate leaves are entire or small-toothed, some leaves alternate. Round stems covered with soft hairs. 30-90cm

Throughout Ireland on damp ground, marshes and by water. Also found on drier waste ground and walls.

Similar: Great Willowherb, E. hirsutum. Larger, to 1.5m tall
