Flowering time: July-October. Perennial. Native,

Narrow panicles of tiny red-brown flower-heads. Leaf-like lower bracts.
Alternate leaves twice-pinnate, dark green above, silvery white, downy below. Reddish pithy stems. Erect, branched, downy plant. Aromatic. Height: 60-120cm.

Wasteland, roadsides, scrub, embankments, river-sides. Native, also found as a garden escape.
