Spores ripen June September. Semi-evergreen. Native.

Delicate pale-green fronds on wiry black stalks. Segments are fan-shaped, the outer margin curved, deep-cut or entire.
Parallel, linear sori covered by small membraneous lobes. Shortly creeping rhyzome covered with narrow brown scales. Frost-tender.

Coastal, native in West of Ireland, moist calcareous rock-crevices Co. Clare to Donegal. Can be locally frequent in grikes on limestone pavements in the Burren and on Aran Islands.
Occasionally recorded as garden escape in sheltered areas.
